Description

GreenPT is a European AI platform combining chat functionality and API access, built with a strong focus on sustainability, privacy, and digital sovereignty. The platform serves individuals, businesses, and developers through subscription plans and API access, offering AI chat, document analysis, image analysis, code generation, multilingual translation, and speech-to-text capabilities. GreenPT is hosted exclusively on Scaleway data centers located in France, ensuring all inference workloads remain within EU jurisdiction and comply with strict European data protection standards including GDPR. The facilities operate on electricity covered by renewable energy procurement, with a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.37, and a Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE) of 0.067. GreenPT achieves approximately 40% lower CO₂ emissions compared to hyperscalers and over 20% reduced energy usage through deliberate efficiency measures. These include selecting smaller, task-appropriate models where suitable, and applying technical optimisations such as quantisation and model compression to reduce energy consumption during inference. Users and businesses can access per-request or aggregated energy and CO₂ usage reporting directly through the platform, enabling transparent monitoring of their AI-related environmental footprint. While training of the underlying models may have occurred outside this infrastructure, all of GreenPT's hosting and inference workloads are run within the EU on the described setup. This positions GreenPT as a privacy-respecting, energy-efficient alternative to hyperscaler AI platforms, combining European data residency with measurable sustainability credentials and transparent environmental reporting.
